In the dusty, overlooked village of Nathpur, Lakhan, a sharp but directionless young man, finds joy of life in quiet nightly meetings with his girlfriend Rupa. By day, the village is full of judgment and a lack of privacy, so their love lives in the shadows. But Nathpur isn’t just battling old-school mindsets.

It’s been stuck in a strange problem for over a decade trapped between two districts, Junagadh and Gir-Somnath, due to a pending court case. When Gir-Somnath separated from Junagadh, a district border was drawn. Nathpur, without a clue, got stuck on the BORDER! This “identity crisis” has left Nathpur off the radar, deprived of development, resources, and recognition, making it ‘Anathpur’.

One day, the village finally gets a post: the court has ruled. Nathpur will officially become part of the Gir-Somnath district. The village erupts in celebration. It’s a fresh start. That night, something strange happens. A theft. And the thief sets off firecrackers – like a celebration of his own.

Over the next few nights, more thefts follow, always under the cover of darkness, always followed by fireworks. Panic spreads. Doors are locked. And for Lakhan, the worst part: Due to villagers trying to prevent more theft, youngster keeping the night watch over streets, Lakhan can no longer meet Rupa.

Determined to get his love life back, Lakhan takes it upon himself to catch the thief. In the process, he finds a side of himself he never knew existed: observant, clever, eye for keen details. He begins to enjoy it. Solving the mystery becomes more than just romance – it becomes personal.

His investigation gets disturbed when Zoravar, an ambitious cop, arrives and declares he’ll catch the thief and marry Rupa in return. With rivalry heating up, Lakhan digs deeper with the challenge. In a long, thriller cat and mouse chase, lakhan finds out the secret. the thief turns out to be ‘Lalit’, a mute man from the village, helped by his mischievous, sharp-witted dwarf brother ‘Batuk’, who’s there through-out the film serving as a comedic character.
